I’ve thought a lot about it, and I think you should be able to “transfer” the marriage to another person instead of getting divorced. Nobody wants to be divorced. I read that people see you as ten years older after you’ve been divorced only one time!
Besides, most people meet someone else anyway, and that’s why their marriage ends.

So if you were meeting this person for the first time how would you know that she was divorced? Doesn’t make sense to me. Yeah, transfer one more way to not try to make the system work. What if one wants out and one doesn’t? You have one certifiacte for two people who gets to transfer out and what do you do with the other person?
It would be very VERY hard to get the two people to agree to do the “transfer” peacefully and split up… it’d devolve into something pretty much like a divorce anyway.

Nope. Getting divorced is not as simple and emotionally detached as trading in a car. There are emotional complexities involved (made even more so once children are in the picture). But, I applaud your ability to think outside of the box and consider unconventional approaches to societal problems. Keep trying.

You can’t transfer a marriage like there is no love. You take away from the meaning of a marriage if you use it in terms of a business deal. That’s silly.
