The other two reviews I’ve read were positive, but they were written from brides who gave them as gifts to their maid of honors. However, I am a maid of honor and was given this gift. I have actually read it. And to be fair, there were a couple of tips that I hadn’t thought of. But when I say, a couple I mean three or four ideas, the remaining 158 pages were worthless. They are full of things that need to get done, but the author presents them as things the maid of honor MUST do. They are her DUTY. Things like get everything involving the purchase of the bride’s wedding gown in writing…it was if they were scraping the bottle of the barrel for ideas to put in this book. But I haven’t gotten to the crazy part yet. At the end of the book they have samples of toasts that the maid of honor can give. They were the most sarcastic, worst examples of toasts I’ve ever heard of. At first, I wondered, “Is this a joke?” And then I showed the toasts to my friends in horror and they confirmed that they would ruin a wedding. Here’s an example: “Destined to be together–doesn’t that just sound good? It was destiny. They were destined. Doesn’t it really just mean that no one else would want either of them, so they had no choice but to get married?” Enough said. Don’t waste your money.

This book might help if you are completely unaware of wedding etiquette. I had a little knowledge and this book didn’t add to my knowledge. It’s just average.
