My first time around, I didn’t want to go. I was forced into it, and I dug my heels in and refused to go through with it. However, my fiance talked me into it. Should have never done it, in retrospect.
Second time around, it was less traumatic, but still didn’t come off without a hitch. The bridal shop had sent the wrong slip, it didn’t really fit, and I was never really satisfied with the alterations to my dress. One of my shoes rubbed a blister on my foot, I got a horrible blemish from the stress, and I hated my hair! I wanted an updo, and instead, I got curls, with about 3 full cans of hairspray to hold them. Not at all what I wanted! I wish someone would have thought to tell me I needed to powder my face. It’s too shiny in all the photos. One of my good friends couldn’t make it, and I really wish she could have been there. After the wedding and reception, we had to drive about 9 hours to our honeymoon destination, so it was early the next morning before we actually got where we were going. Not terribly romantic spending your wedding night on the road!
My problems were typical. Every bride will have at least one thing that isn’t perfect, and some will obsess over it. I had several relatively small issues.
I went to one wedding where the bride’s step-mother got sloppy, falling-down drunk. That was horribly embarrassing for the family.
At a destination wedding in Vegas, the rings had accidentally been forgotten at home, and had to be sent over-night via Fedex!

Well many things.
1) (If she does) her dog suddenly runs into the wedding and rips her dress…
2) Either the bride or groom doesn’t say “I do”
3) Someone messed up the dress and now it’s ruined
4) An assassin suddenly comes in and kills someone
5) Someone important (like mom or dad or any family member) doesn’t show up
6) Bride drinks some punch and it spills on her dress and the dress gets ruined
7) Bride or groom get drunk and ruin the wedding by being stupid in anyway
Lol some of this stuff is kinda funny hope it helps with your book!

Her dress rips.
She gets “cold feet.” (Overused in movies though.)
She gets nauseous and vomits in the bathroom while the ceremony is waiting to commence!
An ex boyfriend speaks up when the pastor says “If anyone believes these two should not marry, speak now or forever hold your peace.”
A bridesmaid confesses that she slept with the groom.
The church catches fire.

Unexpected guest of one of the bridesmaids is an ex-boyfriend, weird uncle gets drunk and reveals he is her dad, her heel breaks off her shoe and she wears flip flops which make her look adorable, she sits in something and it looks like something nasty so she re-arranges the dress in a weird but cool way, groom is in a NAVY tux instead of black, she gets her period, it rains a lot, grooms dumb friends play pranks and there are spiders inside the cake.
