However they are incredibly uncomfortable, even after several long attempts to break them in. After standing in them for a while my feet went tingly and numb--I don't even trust them for my 20 min wedding ceremony and the walk down and back up the aisle. The biggest issue is that they are so unnaturally stiff around the top of my foot. I also tried to put an ball of foot insert in to relieve some of the pressure on the bottom but the squeeze is unbearably tight. I thought about ordering a bigger size but based on the fit of these a bigger size would be too big and I'd have issues keeping the back on. For comparison I also bought the Charles David Frilly pump in my size. It's a similar style (opentoe pump) but the difference is night and day from the Nina Elke pump. The Charles David pump is so much more flexible and comfortable. I'll be wearing that one on my wedding day instead. I ordered these shoes because I thought they would be a beautiful match for my wedding dress and they are. However they are incredibly uncomfortable, even after several long attempts to break them in. After standing in them for a while my feet went tingly and numb–I don’t even trust them for my 20 min wedding ceremony and the walk down and back up the aisle. The biggest issue is that they are so unnaturally stiff around the top of my foot. I also tried to put an ball of foot insert in to relieve some of the pressure on the bottom but the squeeze is unbearably tight. I thought about ordering a bigger size but based on the fit of these a bigger size would be too big and I’d have issues keeping the back on. For comparison I also bought the Charles David Frilly pump in my size. It’s a similar style (opentoe pump) but the difference is night and day from the Nina Elke pump. The Charles David pump is so much more flexible and comfortable. I’ll be wearing that one on my wedding day instead.
