Okay, I’m a virgin. & I’m 14. & I’m planning on saving until marriage. But a lot of my friends have been talking about how they don’t want to be 35 & still a virgin. Do you guys think it’s okayy to wait until marriage even if you get married at a late age? Will people laugh if you wait until marriage?

We’re having a destination wedding in Las Vegas and having a small lunch reception afterward. I found these cute little dice soap favors for my family and friends but not sure how to go about handing them out. After the wedding ends, my DH to be and I will be finishing up with the photographer for a little bit before we head out to the luncheon.
Should I have someone hand out the favors to everyone directly after the ceremony or pass them around once we arrive for lunch?

you’ll have them set on the table at each place setting so that way when they sit down they will see it and everyone will get one and they can take it home

Question by Mae: What can I do to become a wedding planner?
My dream has always been to be a wedding planner. I’ve looked into it a little bit, and it looks to me like I can either go to a community college or do an online program. I don’t really like either of those options, I would really like to go to a university and major in this, but I can’t find any universities that offer anything remotely like I want to do. Does anybody know of any colleges that offer a major in wedding planning or event planning or anything similar to that?

Your best bet would be to get a degree in Hospitality. Check with James Madison University’s College of Business in Harrisonburg, Virginia (540-568-6211). They are one of the top rated colleges granting a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management. There are plenty of other universities that offer degrees in Hospitality too. Guy Fieri, who hosts several shows on Food Network, attended University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.

First thing that comes to mind is that someone is late, or changes their mind about getting married.. also, someone distracting goes.. the dad hates the groom or the groom falls in love with someone else after he porpoises.

It depends on the County you live in. Where I live the license was good for 90 days so you want to find out that information on your County website & not get it so early that it will expire. We actually ended up getting married in Hawaii & we applied for the license the same day that we got married. It just differs. Definitely check your County website for marriage license info.

It is always great to make your own. I made my own with feathers, ribbon and little rings. We scrolled them up and had my then 7 year old son hand deliver them. It was fun.

For your invitations, try this -

Carefully glue the flowers on, then brush a thin coat of MODGE PODGE over top. When you paint this on, it will look crappy, but it will dry clear. This will seal the flowers to the paper. You might want to test to see if the flowers need a second coat, but I would doubt that.

Modge Podge can be found in the glue section of the craft store. It will run anywhere between 4-6 dollars, depending on the size of the container.

No Modge Podge? Try watering down some glue. What you want is something that when it dries, it will be see thru.

If all else fails, go to a craft store and bug the sales people!

My fiance’s family is HUGE! I only want the people we are closest to at the wedding and that will be about 100 people. I don’t have a budget yet. I am getting married on August 7 of this year. I didn’t plan on spending as much as I have spent so far or am going to spend! I feel like it is a necessity to have a photographer and videographer because that’s all you have after the day has come and gone. The photographer and videographer prices are outrageous! I would leave a little extra room for spending on those! I originally was going to have a bigger wedding with about 200 guests. I downsized and now will have about 100. It is going to cost me between 8000-9000 for the reception( venue, cake,food,ceremony etc.) In addition to that about 4000-5000 for a photographer and videographer, about 2000 for my DJ, 1000-2000 for limo service, and flowers, which I haven’t ordered yet so I don’t know the damage! It is very very expensive, even when you try to get the best deals and compromise on certain things. Best of Luck! And Congratulations!

How about pots of shamrocks and green tea lights? One thing to keep in mind with centerpieces, make sure they are not so tall that your guests cannot converse with everyone at the table. I attended my cousin’s wedding a few weeks ago and her centerpieces, while lovely, interfered with conversation. People could only talk to those sitting right beside them at the table, they also crowded the place settings.
